Pee Dee Black Legacy:
Excellence & Innovation

Black Expos have been a cornerstone of economic empowerment and community celebration since 1895, providing a platform for Black entrepreneurs, professionals, and creatives to thrive. These gatherings have historically served as catalysts for progress, fostering networking opportunities, business growth, and cultural appreciation. One of the most significant milestones in Black Expo history was the American Negro Exposition, also known as the Black World's Fair, held in Chicago in 1940. This event commemorated the 75th anniversary of the end of slavery and showcased Black achievements in business, arts, science, and politics, setting the stage for future Expos to continue uplifting Black excellence.

The Pee Dee Black Expo carries this legacy forward, ensuring that Black businesses and professionals in the region have access to the resources, exposure, and connections they need to succeed. By bridging the gap between entrepreneurs, the community, and key opportunities, we honor the past while building a stronger, more prosperous future. The spirit of resilience, innovation, and economic empowerment that has defined Black Expos for over a century continues to thrive right here in the Pee Dee region.
